Trenchless Asia Venue

TRENCHLESS ASIA 2018 will showcase international machinery, products and methods which are available to aid the installation and refurbishment of underground utilities and pipelines without disruption to the surface.

The Sewerage network in Malaysia is under the control of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water KeTTHA and much of it is managed under a concession agreement by the Indah Water Konsortium.

It serves about 60% of the population and extends throughout peninsular Malaysia and elsewhere the principal cities of East Malaysia are also served. The network includes about 19000kms of sewer and has been growing at a rate of about 500km per annum since 1994. Some 12000km are 225mm or lesser in diameter and about 75% of the network is vitrified clay pipe. Plastic pipe is also being installed in the new build programmes.

Since 2010 KeTTHA has embarked on a new construction and sewer rehab programme valued at about £550Billion, the rehabilitation component is reported to be about £20M per annum and aims to address 350km of sewer over 5 years.
